PARK VISITOR CENTRE PROPOSAL
For the final assignment, it is a continuous assignment on the previous Assignment 2-Site Analysis and Inventory. Besides that, the final assignment for Constructed Landscape is also integrated with Introduction to Drawing module. For the module Constructed Landscape, the requirements of proposing a park visitor centre focuses on the landscaping and design layout of the whole area of 25 metres x 20 metres park visitor centre. This includes of putting in the hardscape and softscape elements into the park and take into consideration.
Reflection
I learnt much on this final assignment but I failed to manage my time well for the colouring of the landscape part on the board plus too much consideration on the softscape of the boards. I felt the layout was simple but not easy to colour all of them in time. Both presentation boards failed to portray what I initially wanted to but it was still a complete but terrible work. I learnt that time management for this assignment plays a very important role for finishing up the assignment. There are many factors to look at too on the other hand, like scanning the drawings and also lineweight.

Introduction
Design Process
I started off without knowing any design layout and chose rectilinear-45. But after consulting lecturers, I changed to the common rectilinear form that suits better for my design concept.

I took time to try out on colouring the landscape first to test out the colour scheme and ended up wasting too much time on it.
Interim Stage- Conceptual Plan + Bubble Diagram

Our group came out with the concept of colonial and Mediterranean concept for the park visitor centre. The reason being the existing park has the few elements of Colonial and Mediterranean concept. For example, arbor, Mediterranean pavements and pergola. We provided many inspiration pictures at the side for references.
Bubble Diagram

The bubble diagram helped us arrange the initially design space in the park visitor centre and also defines the connectivity between all the spaces. We also indicated the site location in the existing park. It is located right in front of the lake because there would be a fishing deck for anglers to fish. Colour scheme of the concept style also listed for reference.
